Whatsapp for Business now launched in India for SMEs
The WhatsApp Business app is now available for free-to-download Android app via Google Play Store in India. It is compatible with devices running Android 4.0.3 and above, while iOS users will have to wait a bit.
Features Include:
‘Business Profiles’ will help customers get information such as the category, email, store address, website or any extra description of the business.
‘Messaging Tools’ allow business owners to set quick replies when isn’t available.
Automated Messages: “Currently we are unable, we will get back to you soon”
‘Quick Replies’ Quick replies let you save and reuse messages you frequently send. Shortcuts: /thanks: “Thank You for Contact Us”
‘Messaging Statistics’ provides important metrics such as how many of your messages were successfully sent, delivered, and read.
’WhatsApp Web’ is the regular web interface of ‘WhatsApp Business’ allowing owners to send or receive messages using a desktop.
’Account Type’ People will know that they’re talking to a business because you will be listed as a Business Account.
Myths:
If you have a LANDLINE/FIXED NUMBER SUPPORT, You can still use WhatsApp Business with and your customers can message you on that number. During the first time verification, select “Call me” option to receive the code over a phone call. You can use both WhatsApp Business and WhatsApp Messenger on the same phone, but each app must have its own unique phone number.
